My name is Jason Koontz and I am the Pastor of Freedom Baptist Church in Davie County. I received Christ on January 6, 2000 while driving a dump truck on the family farm and from that moment on, my life was forever changed!

 A few months later, in May 2000, I graduated from NCSU with a B.S. in Agronomy and on September 30, 2000, I married my wonderful wife, Elainia. The Lord has blessed us with three beautiful daughters, Olivia, Nora and Hannah.

On January 8, 2002 my wife received Christ as her Savior and since that time, the Lord has allowed us to grow together “spiritually.” For several years we have been involved in different areas of ministry at Hilltop Baptist Church (in Thomasville, NC) where Dr. William (Jr.) Seawell is my pastor.

I surrendered to preach on August 14, 2001 and since that time I have preached in numerous revivals, nursing homes, prisons, houses, churches, on the radio and internet, Christian schools and even a county fair. I look forward to settling down at Freedom and helping the congregation to have a closer walk with the Lord while seeing sinners come to know Christ Jesus as their personal Savior as well.
